Yahoo Snags Makeup Maven Bobbi Brown as Editor-in-Chief of Beauty

After snagging Katie Couric, David Pogue, Virginia Heffernan and Matt Bai to bolster its editorial team, Yahoo has made one more big-name catch: world-famous makeup artist Bobbi Brown. Brown will help Yahoo revamp its Beauty section by leading editorial direction and original content for the site.

Bobbi Brown joins YahooBrown is the founder and chief creative officer of Bobbi Brown Cosmetics and has served as contributing beauty & lifestyle editor to Health Magazine and beauty & lifestyle editor for Elvis Duran and the Morning Show. She’s also written eight beauty and lifestyle books encouraging women to be confident and beautiful.

At Yahoo Brown plans to focus on curating smart, strong content focused on teaching women how to be their best selves. She wrote on her blog:

Yahoo is poised to become the top source for cutting-edge news coverage, and I’m confident I’ll bring similarly strong content to Beauty and Lifestyle coverage. I’m honored to be joining such an impressive roster.

Brown will take over Yahoo Beauty on April 21 while continuing in her role as chief creative officer for Bobbi Brown Cosmetics.
