How Do 12 to 24 Year Olds Discover and Consume Music? [CHART]

Ever wonder where teenagers and young adults discover and consume music? Thanks to a chart released on Hypebot, you can now see where 12 to 24 year olds find and consume music.

According to the chart, teens and young adults turn to YouTube more than any other source to discover and consume music with 83% reporting that they use the site to keep up with music. Seventy-three percent reported turning to Pandora and the same percentage, to “friends/family.”

The AM/FM radio is the next biggest source, with 65% using it to discover music, followed by Facebook at 53% and Apple iTunes at 43%. Spotify, which only 26% of respondents reported turning to, has a long way to go to be as useful to teens and young adults as Pandora.
