Jay Z Premieres ‘Holy Grail’ Video Feat. Justin Timberlake on Facebook for 24 Hours

You’re about to land in music video heaven. Today Jay Z premiered the video for “Holy Grail” featuring Justin Timberlake and it’s as stunning as the song itself. Director Anthony Mandler left no detail unrevised, each scene a gloomy yet sparkling masterpiece within itself. The “Holy Grail” video risked a flop by reordering verses and slowing the song down in parts, straying from the original composition of a new and already well-loved song. They say if it’s not broke, don’t fix it, but who am I kidding? This is Jay Z: everything he touches turns to gold.

When Jay Z first introduced Magna Carter, he promised the album was going to “break the rules.” And oh, the rules he is breaking. Jay Z first released his album to Samsung Galaxy owners days before its official debut. Then he exclusively premiered the “Holy Grail” video on Facebook for its first 24 hours, the first major artist to ever do this. Jay Z is making interesting moves to reach out to niche audiences.
