IFTTT Launches New App for the iPhone

IFTTT for iPhone

IFTTT for iPhoneIFTTT has just introduced a new app for iPhone devices. IFTTT is a very useful site that puts the Internet to work for you by automating powerful actions on the web and social media. You can connect lots of different social network channels, and create recipes to automate actions like “tweeting a new blog post” or “send me an email every time my favorite band tweets.”

The possibilities are endless, and IFTTT is now looking to extend these benefits over to mobile devices. IFTTT believes:

Soon the phone will be just as valuable in your pocket as it is in your hand. Idle phones move data, respond to new locations, and receive notifications — this is only the beginning.

IFTTT for iPhone

ifttt channels for iphoneYou can download the app here which allows you to unlock three new IFTTT Channels for your iPhone: Contacts, Photos, and Reminders (with more said to come). Now you can create and use recipes that are triggered based on your actions on the move: like snapping screenshots, organizing your photo albums, adding new contacts, and completing task reminders.

This is the first step IFTTT is taking to connect all of our social networks and devices, Android is likely next, and I’m always eager to here the latest additions to this service!
