Amazon Launches Storybuilder: A Virtual Corkboard to Help Writers Visualize Their Next Script

Amazon StorybuilderAre you finally working on that movie script you’ve always wanted to write? Amazon wants to give you a helping hand by launching its new Storybuilder tool for screenwriters to collect ideas, notes, images and more in one cool vertical layout.

While still in beta the product is launching with a few different templates for common narrative structures. Amazon is hoping to target future scriptwriters, directors and filmmakers with its Storybuilder offering, a follow-up to its Storyteller service which automatically creates storyboards from uploaded scripts. The application can be used on your smartphone and tablet, too, and you can store up to 1,000 cards (or roughly the equivalent of 20 full-length screenplays) on the corkboard.

Amazon doesn’t acquire any ownership or option rights when you use its Storyboard platform.

Have you ever wanted to write a screenplay? What about?
