If you drive often or simply own a car, Google just made your life a little easier. Starting Monday, the Google Now app will now notify you of traffic incidents, including accidents and construction, so you can avoid backups and delays.
Google announced the new feature yesterday. The company also updated Google Search for Android to provide real-time traffic updates as well. Google hopes the update will help you change your travel or commute course when needed to avoid any serious traffic holdup.
Google acquired Waze, a community-based traffic app that allows users to share live information about traffic, in June 2013. But now Google has taken traffic delays into its own hands by incorporating the information from Waze into its own apps and sending notifications via Google Now.
