At Apple’s press event today, the company is expected to unveil new versions of the iPhone, including a the budget-friendly iPhone 5C. It’s also been rumored that Apple will (finally) announce the iWatch! Stay tuned for live updates of the event. All times are in Eastern Standard Time.

2:27 p.m.

-While Elvis Costello takes the stage, we want to reiterate that the iPhone 5 is being discontinued as the iPhone 5C takes its place.

-CEO Tim Cook returns to talk music. He brings musician Elvis Costello to the stage.

2:07 p.m.
-Release dates: You can preorder both the iPhone 5C beginning on September 13. Both the 5C and 5S will be available in stores on September 20. For the first time, the new iPhones will be available in Chine on the same day as its launch.

-The iPhone 5S will be priced at $199.99 for 16 GB, $299 for 32 GB, and $399 for 64 GB with a two-year contract.

-For security, your fingerprint is never uploaded to Apple’s servers or stored in iCloud.

-Touch ID is announced, a fingerprint sensor that will be embedded on the home button on the iPhone 5S. You can teach it multiple fingerprints, it works from all angles, and you can use it to purchase items from iTunes. Developers will be encouraged to take advantage of Touch ID to allow users to enter their apps.

-New iPhone camera picks the best possible image every time and features an improved flash. It also offers a Burst mode that takes up to 10 frames per second.

-New 5-element lens for the iPhone with a 15% larger sensor, f/2.2 aperture.

-So far Apple has given a recap of its Worldwide Developer’s Conference. Importantly, Apple announced that iOS 7 will be available for free download starting September 18.
