The ‘Revolution’ Is Here: Diplo Premieres New Album Ahead of October 8 Release

Wesley Pentz (known on the streets as Diplo) is a cutting edge DJ, music producer, rapper and songwriter. Born in Mississippi, Diplo is an innovator in the new movement of electronic trap music, influenced by roots based in Southern hip hop. Besides scoring musical production duties on the upcoming Hunger Games film, Diplo has premiered his Revolution EP days ahead of its official October 8 release date. The impending album comes from his own Mad Decent label, where the full brunt of the Major Lazer component can now be heard. There are four original tracks and two remixes featuring the musical talents of a diverse group including Angger Dimas, Travis Porter, Faustix & Imannos, RiFF RAFF, Dutch producer Boaz van de Beatz and heavyweight rapper Action Bronson.
