In a touching interview on Oprah Prime last night, musician Pharrell Williams talked with Oprah Winfrey about hitting bottom before writing his hit song “Happy.” It was only after he thought he was out of ideas for a song for Despicable Me 2 that Williams could begin forming what would become the viral song “Happy.”
After seeing a video of the song’s effect on people around the world, Williams breaks down into tears of joy – an act his Facebook fans find both humbling and admirable:
