When we think of Don Draper, the confident but troubled leading man of Mad Men, we think of his many romances, his overconfidence and sometimes cockiness in the workplace and, well, smoking. Whether he’s in an office meeting, lounging beachside or in bed with one of his lovers, nary a scene goes by where Don isn’t smoking a cigarette. So would Mad Men still be Mad Men if Don didn’t smoke?
In support of the American Cancer Society’s Great American Smokeout campaign, the Ellen Degeneres show created a mashup video featuring Don smoking things other than cigarettes. Hopefully the video will remove the glamor often associated with smoking and encourage people to quit the unhealthy habit!
