instagram top locationIt can be pretty inspiring to see all the awesome places around the world, whether it’s a photo from your hometown or a video from a friend’s vacation. So as 2013 nears its end, Instagram decided to examine trends in location by announcing the most-Instagrammed places of 2013!

Similar to last year’s study, a popular hotspot in Thailand tops the list, the Siam Paragon (สยามพารากอน), a massive shopping, movie theater and aquarium complex in Bangkok, was the top Instagrammed location this year, beating out 2012’s most-Instagrammed place: Bangkok’s International Airport. Unfortunately for Parisians, the Eiffel Tower dropped off the list altogether, but will likely be back soon on the strength of tourism.

A few locations that are new to the most-popular list in 2013 are Walt Disney World, High Line and Central Park in New York City and the Bellagio Fountains in Las Vegas.
