Location Highlights

Google Maps Places

Routing

Cycling Map of Stockholm

Now Google displays more than just streets. Use Google Maps to visualize available routes, whether you’re looking for roads to drive on, areas with lower elevation, public transportation, or cycling routes, such as the cycling map of Stockholm shown above.

Data Visualization

Google Maps Population Visualization

Probably one of the coolest parts of the new Google Maps is the Data Visualization tool. Here you can see where the world’s population has grown since 1950 and how it is projected to grow until 2025. You can also watch flights leaving to and from a certain city, map earthquakes that have happened in recent years, and finish a timed mercator puzzle.

Have you received your Google Maps invite yet?
