Music is passionate and powerful. The right song can make a moment magical, while the wrong song can kill the mood instantaneously. The soundtrack behind a video or in a particular location is critical to the tone that’s set.
Video creators know this, but making good music or finding access to available free music to use is not easy. Because of this YouTube has launched Audio Library, which includes more than 150 royalty-free instrumental tracks you can use for free! The songs can be used in any project, not just videos for uploading to YouTube, and can be downloaded as 320 Kbps MP3 files.
If you’re looking to make an upbeat or inspirational film, consider “Magic Marker” in the dance & electronic section. Or “Festival,” if you needed something a little more funky like for a Decibel promo tonight!
Planning a video for the family? Try going with “Locally Sourced.”
Making an indie romance? How about “The Engagement?”
Documenting a big road trip? You could be in for some “Hot Heat.”
YouTube mentioned on its Creators blog that it welcomes feedback on the new Audio Library:
We’d love to hear what you think so we can continue to improve the library’s content and browsing capabilities. And if you know any musicians who may be interested in contributing to the library, let us know.
Have you ever created a video on YouTube? Happy to have some new tunes in your arsenal?
