With 2014 coming to a close, there’s no better time to take a look at what the sun has been doing these last eleven months. To assist in this exploration, solar system and space information blog Astrum released “Our Sun Sol: 2014,” a compilation video which highlights the sun’s activity this year. Using videos from NASA’s Solar Dynamics Observatory, Astrum displays some of 2014’s most epic solar events including x-class flares, solar gushers, active region interactions and spasms, sunspot development and a square-shaped coronal hole. Even without understanding the lingo, you know what it describes is awesome, right? Well, check out the video and see for yourself.
