‘Afterglow’: A Short Film Where Skiers in Lightsuits Illuminate the Snowy Alaskan Mountains [VIDEO]

Have you ever gone skiing down a mountainside under the moonlight? Creative film and art company Sweetgrass Productions teamed up with Philips TV and Swedish ad agency Ahlstrand & Wållgren to create a short film in which skiers dress in LED lightsuits as they ski down mountains in Alaska. The 12 minute video was created for promotion of Philips’ Ambilight, short for “ambient lighting,” which is a lighting system for televisions developed by Philips.

On the video’s Vimeo page, Sweetgrass productions explains:

From the depth of the creative visuals to the groundbreaking, never-been-done-before scale of the shoot, Afterglow is being hailed as one of the most cinematically profound ski movies ever made. Deep pillows and Alaskan spines, all filmed at night, with massive lights, custom made LED suits, and a national governments worth of logistics, planning, and civil engineering.
