From the Maker of ‘Office Space’ Comes the New HBO Series ‘Silicon Valley’ [VIDEO]
Along with the return of Game of Thrones, HBO has revealed the first trailer for the upcoming Silicon Valley series. With Silicon Valley Mike Judge, who was behind cult classics like Office Space, Beavis & Butthead and King of the Hill, now brings his humor to HBO Sunday nights starting April 6.
The new series was partially inspired by Judge’s own experience as an engineer in Silicon Valley, “the cradle of innovation,” in the ’80s. The plot centers around an introverted computer programmer living in a “hacker hostel” startup incubator with a few other friends and social misfits. They get to stay for free, under the eye of Erlich (T.J. Miller), a pretentious dot-com millionaire, as long as they kick in a ten percent stake in any of their.
The show is set for an eight-episode initial runs.
“Don’t be the guy that always asks, ‘What if?’ Build something,” says the wise man from the trailer.
