These Rwanda Genocide Survivors See Pictures of Themselves as Children For the First Time [VIDEO]

This year marks twenty years since the Rwandan genocide, which left thousands of children without families or homes. Most of the survivors have never even seen pictures of themselves as children, until Save the Children UK decided to show them photographs they took years ago. After the genocide in 1994, Save the Children launched a huge campaign to create biographical files of the displaced and separated child survivors and reunite them with surviving family. Because of this effort, Save the Children UK was able to show these three siblings polaroids from their file and give them a view into their past.

Watch the now grown-up child survivors react as they see their child photos for the first time ever.
