Escape to a psychedelic world in Foster The People’s new music video. With animation by HannesJohannes, the Swedish directing duo Hannes Elltorp and Johannes Helgelin, Foster the People was able to create a colorful and sophisticated animated music video.

On their website, Elltorp and Helgelin claim they have a “taste for the bizarre and spontaneous,” and that is exactly what makes the video for “Pseudologia Fantastica” so captivating. From mountains to forests to oceans, humans to birds to wild beasts, the animation in this video is sure to take you on a dream-like journey through the song. All the elements in the video were hand drawn using a Wacom by Johannes, who also completed all the cell animation, and then animated in After Effects by Hannes.

Foster The People is an American indie pop band from Los Angeles, California, who became popular after the 2011 hit “Pumped Up Kicks” reached number one on Billboard’s Alternative Songs chart, number three on the Rock Songs chart, and number three on the Billboard Hot 100.
