Watch the 9-Year Construction of the One World Trade Center in 119 Seconds [Timelapse Video]

The One World Trade Center, the primary building of the new World Trade Center complex, is almost complete, save for removing the exterior elevator shaft and finishing installation of the podium glass and interior furnishings. To honor the victims of the September 11 attacks, yesterday the live webcam network EarthCam released a timelapse video of the nine-year construction of the One World Trade Center from October 2004 through September 2013.

The video features the construction of the entire building structure, including the installation of the spire that brought the building to an impressive height of 1,776 feet. According to OneCam, making this timelapse video was quite a laborious process: hundreds of thousands of high definition images were hand-edited for the video.

EarthCam provides construction cameras for jobsite documentation and live streaming webcams for monitoring projects in real-time.
