The Way These News Anchors React On-Air to the LA Earthquake Is Priceless [VIDEO]
Yesterday morning, Los Angeles literally got an earth-shaking wake-up call. The 4.4 magnitude earthquake hit Los Angeles at 6:25 a.m. PST, causing noticeable shaking in parts of the city. Fortunately, there were no reported damages, power outages or water main breaks, according to the L.A. Times.
The earthquake surprised two KTLA news anchors mid-broadcast, forcing them to take cover in the studio. In a video of the now humorous newscast you also catch glimpses of the film crew running to find a safe place to hide and the very obvious shaking camera footage in the background. As the earthquake ceases, one of the news anchors is hesitant to emerge from her hiding place.
The faces of the news anchors as they realize the ground was quaking are priceless. But that’s not the only laugh the earthquake would shake up. While the quake didn’t cause any injuries, it did provide local Californians with the perfect opportunity to give their two cents about the unexpected, early morning quake. Some jumped in on Twitter and decided to share some laughs. Even the LAPD joined in with a witty remark of their own. Check out some of the Tweets below:
