Man Journeys to the Bottom of a 200-Meter Cave in First Ever Underground Hot Air Balloon Flight [VIDEO]

Ten years ago, the recording of Felix Baumgartner’s base-jump in the Mamet Cave in Croatia circled the world. Now another daredevil adventure was undertaken in that same cave: Seventy-year-old Austrian pilot Ivan Trifonov became the first man to succeed at flying a hot air balloon underground. Trifonov, who holds four other Guinness World Records, touched the bottom of the 675-foot deep cave and triumphantly flew out, likely earning him his fifth record. To achieve this feat, Trifonov used a smaller hot air balloon, one designed particularly for this unusual kind of flight with two gas tanks instead of a basket.
