NBC Bringing ‘Heroes’ Back to Life
Were you a fan of the NBC hit television series Heroes? NBC is breathing new life into its fledgling network by bring the hit show back as the self-contained miniseries Heroes Reborn in 2015. The original Heroes series was once wildly popular, airing from 2006 to 2010. It eventually lost favor with fans towards the end of the run after the Writer Guild’s strike.
According to Variety, Heroes Reborn will be a 13-episode miniseries in 2015 with series creator Tim Kring pulling the strings again. According to NBC Entertainment representative Jennifer Salke, this resurrection of Heroes is overdue: “Shows with that kind of resonance don’t come around often and we thought it was time for another installment,” she said. She also hinted that while a new cast will headline the show, it’s possible that some of the show’s original cast will “pop” in.
The first Heroes Reborn teaser aired Saturday night during the Olympics with just a quick glimpse of the series insignia. Nevertheless, this is sure to get fans excited about the series again:
The original Heroes starred Zachary Quinto (Spock, Star Trek) and Hayden Panettiere among a cast of both heroes and villains with extraordinary super powers.
