Google Wants to Take You on a Never-Ending Drive for Work
Google Drive is a cloud-based file storage service that allows you to create and manage all of your work. It also recognizes Microsoft Office documents, images, Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator vector files, among many others. Given that it’s all secured in the cloud, you can access all your files from anywhere: a computer, tablet or smartphone. Drive now has 190 million active users who have been active for 30 days according to Google. Also 58% of the Fortune 500 already use Google’s services, as well as nearly 70% of the top Universities and startups.

Now Google wants to take businesses for a ride with even more storage than the 15GB of free space offered to all Google users. At the Google I/O conference today, Google has announced Drive for Work will offer unlimited storage for just the price of $10 per month. The new suite of features will also provide an enhanced suite of administration tools suited for businesses including an API and employee tracking. This all comes recently after Google added an activity stream to documents and opened a Drive marketplace for app developers.
