A Sneak Peek at the ‘Peanuts’ 3D Movie Coming in 2015

Though the Peanuts movie not slated to hit theaters until November 2015, Fox studios has already released a sneak peek trailer of the upcoming film in 3D. Why all the excitement? Well, the last time Charlie Brown and his gang made an appearance on the big screen was back in 1980!

The Peanuts comic has been out of syndication since the death of its creator, Charles Schulz, in 2000, and will stay that way: clause in Schulz’ contract stated that the print comic would end with his death. The new Peanuts movie, however, will continue the Schulz family legacy, being produced by Schulz’s son Craig and written by his grandson Bryan.

3D movies for children are all the rage lately. The new Peanuts movie, though, will not only reach out to a whole new generation of youngsters but also present Charlie Brown, Snoopy and friends in a way that older generations have never seen them before. So while the beloved comic strip than ran for more than 50 years may be a thing of the past, the Peanuts gang has broken into a brave new world of animation. And I doubt that we’ve seen the last of them!
