Today Sony has unveiled the release dates for its new next-generation games console, the PlayStation 4. The Chief Executive of Sony Entertainment Computers, Andrew House, revealed that gamers in North America can get themselves a PS4 on November 15th, while fans will have to wait till November 29th in Europe.
Sony has received more than 1 million pre-orders for the new unit, which House said was ” “nothing short of incredible.”
The rival device by Microsoft, the Xbox One, is also speculated to come out in November too, albeit no hard release date has been set. Apparently Sony has an edge in price with the PS4 cost at about $550, almost $100 less than the Xbox One. However, the previous generation Xbox 360 has been the top selling console in the U.S. for 31 straight months.
So what have been the initial reactions to the launch date of the new PS4?
