Pinning on the go has just got better! Today, Pinterest is rolling out improvements to its Android, iPhone and iPad apps which include notifications, mentioning friends and the ability to search more easily. You can get the latest version directly from the iTunes or Google Play stores.

Receive Push Notifications

Pinterest notifications, recently added to their new look website, are now also available on mobile devices! You can now see who commented on or mentioned you in a pin. Pinterest has also introduced push notifications to help you find out what’s happening without the need to even open the actual app.

Mention your Friends

Pinterest now lets you mention friends directly from your phone! Similar to Facebook, just hit @ and start typing in the name of the person you want to tag. Select their name and your friend will then get a notification that you mentioned them in a new post.

Improved Search

Pinterest will now suggest search terms right as you’re typing in your mobile device. You can also see searches you recently made from other places, “so if you searched for a soup recipe from your computer, you can do the same search when you’re at the grocery store with just your phone to help you.” You can also easily delete these searches from your setting if need be.
