Say Hello to Zeus, the Rescue Owl Whose Eyes Contain Galaxies [PHOTOS]

Zeus is the powerful Greek god of the sky and his name is perfect for this blind rescue owl whose eyes seem to glitter with actual stars. Zeus, a Western screech owl, was found injured on a porch in Southern California. But his rescue isn’t the only thing that makes this little owl unique: when you look into his blind eyes, they resemble a starry night complete with constellations. Looking into his eyes is like training a telescope on a far-off galaxy.

After being rescued, the owl found his happy permanent home at the Wildlife Learning Center in Sylmar, California, where the staff named him Zeus for his magical starry eyes.
