9 Pieces of Typographic Chalk Art that Will Inspire You to Do What You Love

There’s a pair of mysterious chalk artists on the prowl, and they go by the name of Dangerdust. Dangerdust is a duo of senior advertising and graphic design students at the Columbus College of Art and Design who stealthily take over classrooms by night to produce vivid chalk art masterpieces. Their work melds a childlike playfulness with a mature artistic discipline, often using elegant typography to quote some of history’s most famous thinker’s, from Nelson Mandela to John Lennon to Banksy.

On Sunday or Monday nights the pair breaks into vacant classrooms and, after as many as 11 hours, completes a new work. “Every time we do it we try to make it look different from the last one,” Dangerdust told the Columbus College of Art and Design blog. “We try to adopt the style of [whomever we’re quoting].”
