Toy Mammals and Dinosaurs with Mini Worlds Carved Into Their Backs
Japanese artist Maico Akiba creates toy mammal, dinosaur and reptile figurines with mini worlds and scenes of civilizations carved onto her backs. The animals are carrying these mini worlds, almost as if they are burdens to the animals. It seems to resemble the clash between man and nature and the problems humans have caused for wildlife as they overtake the planet and exacerbate the environmental issues we now experience.
