New York City is one of the most populated cities in the world and often serves as a creative canvas for many photographers. A new series by architecture photographer Donna Dotan takes a different look at the city from an elevated perspective. Her Reflections From Above collection captures the essence of all the bright lights of the city below merged together through symmetrical patterned reflections beaming from all the mirror-like building exteriors. The timelapse photos appear to give New York City a charge of electricity more powerful than any series seen before.
In a conversation with the Wonderful Machine, Donna said:
I’d always thought that New York City had already been photographed from every point of view. But the beauty of photography is that there’s always a new perspective to be discovered.
