13 Pop Culture and Fiction Characters Show the Meaning of Love in Illustrations

Everybody loves somebody in “That’s Amore!”, even villains like King Kong and Darth Vader. “That’s Amore!” is a series of illustrations by Italian artist and designer Ale Giorgini that depicts 13 pop culture and fiction characters showing affection to someone they love.
On the series’ gallery page, Giorgini writes that this is a “personal project about love.” The famous figures demonstrate the meaning of love and showcase all different kinds of it. There is expected love between known couples such as Superman and Lois Lane or Marge and Homer Simpson. There is also unexpected love between unlikely pairings like Darth Vader, Luke Skywalker and Princess Leia from Star Wars.
The project portrays one more very important, often overlooked, type of love: the love between friends, like that of Charlie Brown and Snoopy and Batman and Robin.
To accompany his illustrations, Giorgini came up with clever captions about love that relate to the pop culture characters.
