11 Abstract Designs that Will Make You Rethink Paper

Scrap paper and forgotten cardboard take on a life of their own in the paper abstracts of Thai graphic designer Karuna Khettanurak. Known as ninoisy on Instgram, Khettanurak cuts, folds and sculpts until her quirky, complex product looks nothing like the flat pieces of paper she started with.

Adding to the flair of her sculptures is Khettanurak’s skill behind the lens. She photographs all of her work from precise angles that heighten their appeal, and she uses only her iPhone – no professional equipment involved.

Perhaps one of Khettanurak’s favorite parts of working with paper is being able to reveal the beauty of her medium, paper. β€œIt’s so close to us but we overlook its value. I was so surprised to find the art hidden inside,” she told the Instagram blog.
