Dutch designer Manon Wethly does not cry over spilled milk. Instead, she makes art. Wethly has a background in architecture, graphic design, illustration and photography. Over the past few years, she has been photographing images of liquid spilling from bowls and cups in mid-air.
Elaborating on her new photograph series, adorned with the hashtag “#flyingstuff,” Wethly told Instagram:
People are free to see or feel whatever they want in the shapes…I love that they make people talk to me and ask questions.
She also discussed the importance of Instagram, explaining that:
I studied architecture for two years, then graphic design, but the thing that has always made me happy is photography… [Instagram] was exactly what I needed to keep my photography enthusiasm alive. I was taking lots of photos every day and just storing them in my computer for no one to see.
