Photographer Turns Laundry Day Into a Colorful Event
Everyone loves a batch of fresh clothes to wear but doing laundry can be a drag. Photographer Yvette Meltzer looks to highlight the beauty of refurbished cloth with her Revolutions series that captures shots of revolving clothes seen through the windows of dryers. The mesmerizing images appear as colorful blurs where, sometimes, it’s almost as if faces emerge from the abstractions.
Meltzer told Slate:
What I see is not what someone else does. But people do seem mesmerized by the images and attempt to discern what it is they are looking for. People seem to have such a need for definition and tend to be uncomfortable with the ambiguous.
Did you ever think doing laundry could be so beautiful?
