12 Photographs of Hong Kong That Will Expand Your ‘Vertical Horizon’
Hong Kong has become a stage for modern architectural wonders that reach high up into the sky. Romain Jacquet-Lagrèze is a French photographer who captures the density of the city from a vertical perspective. Jacquet-Lagrèze says he is inspired by “the geometry of the urban environment and the vivid lives it shelters.”
Jacquet-Lagrèze has also compiled a new book called Vertical Horizon including some of his best vertical shots of the city skyline, as seen below.
He writes about the book:
Vertical Horizon is a photographic journey between the buildings of a relentlessly growing city. It is a deep immersion into the city’s thick atmospheres and a visual record of its wildly diverse built environment. This book is like a contemplative dive into the raw nature of Hong Kong and an expression of its vertical elan.
