Dogs of the World: Cute Posters That Showcase the Origins of Hundreds of Dog Breeds
How many dog breeds are there in the world? The answer might surprise you.
Artist and illustrator Lili Chin created adorable pup posters showcasing the origins of more than 200 dog breeds. The series, entitled “Dogs of the World,” classifies the dogs by country and continent. Not only are the posters absolutely endearing, but they are also interesting and educational.
Chin told Bored Panda:
The Dogs of The World series started when I was researching Asian dog breeds for another illustration project. I started drawing Asian dogs (shiba inu, pug, chow chow, etc)… I was having so much fun, that I got carried away and found myself researching and drawing dog breeds from other countries. I was very fortunate to have the internet as my image research library and a consultant-friend with a Masters in Ecology, Evolution and Animal Behavior.
Chin has been creating pet portraits for seven years. Each year, she donates a portion of her profits to dog rescues.
