38 Aerial Photographs of Summer in Australia

There’s nothing quite like a bird’s-eye view of the world around us. Australian photographer Tom Blachford took this maxim to heart when he set out to capture the mood of his homeland’s oceanfront.
This particular series is full of aerial shots of the summer in Australia. Blachford’s photographs highlight the colorful, magnificent beaches, with their vibrant boats, huts and towels. Because the focal points of the photos tend to appear small against the brilliant blue ocean and golden beaches, the shots evoke the serenity of the scenery.
Beyond photographing Australia, Blachford has put his camera to work in Iceland, Cuba, India, North America, New Zealand, China, Japan, Sri Lanka, Vietnam, and France. His subjects range from architecture and the interiors of buildings to cities and weddings.
