NFL Week 4 Predictions 2013

The Denver Broncos and Seattle Seahawks continue to dominate the NFL with three weeks in the books. The Broncos breezed past the Oakland Raiders Monday Night 37-21 while the Seattle Seahawks had their way with the Jacksonville Jaguars 45-17 covering that big 19.5 line. Still a ton of football to be played, but these two talented teams seem to be on mission. Seattle will have its hands full this week when they travel to the Houston. The Broncos welcome Chip Kelly and the 1-2 Philadelphia Eagles to Denver this weekend and have been installed as a double digit favorite.

A pair of surprising 0-3 teams travel east for the annual NFL game in London. The Pittsburgh Steelers have looked awful in all three. Only the Bucs and Jaguars have scored fewer pointers than Pittsburgh. Thew will look to get on track against the Vikings.

Pittsburgh Steelers (-1) at Minnesota Vikings (London)

Matchup:Well someone has to win this game. Actually they could tie, but that rarely happens. The loser will leave the UK at 0-4 to start the season. Quarterback Matt Cassel, the former Patriot and Chief, will start for the injured Christian Ponder. The Steelers offense has been anemic, but will face a Viking defense that allowing 32 point per game. Cheers.
Steve’s Pick: Vikings 27 – Steelers 24
Dan’s Pick: Vikings 24 – Steelers 21
Matt’s Picks: Steelers 23 – Vikings 20

Baltimore Ravens (-3.5) at Buffalo Bills

Matchup:The Ravens have bounced back nicely the last two weeks after that second half pounding at the hands of the Broncos in the opener. They are off a nice win against the Texans. Bills rookie quarterback EJ Manuel will look to get going at home where he seems more comfortable. The Ravens play the Dolphins and Packers the next two weeks, so could be flat here.
Steve’s Pick: Ravens 31 – Bills 17
Dan’s Pick: Ravens 31 – Bills 28
Matt’s Picks: Ravens 34 – Bills 27

Cincinnati Bengals (-4.5) at Cleveland Browns

Matchup:Both of these teams are off very nice wins. The Bengals won a wild one against the Packers in a game they were down by 16 in the third quarter. The Browns won on the road last week defeating the Vikings 31-27. Brian Hoyer threw for over 300 yards and 4 TD’s to lead the Browns.
Steve’s Pick: Browns 27 – Bengals 24
Dan’s Pick: Bengals 23 – Browns 7
Matt’s Picks: Bengals 24 – Browns 10

Seattle Seahawks (-3) at Houston Texans

Matchup:This should be a good one down in Houston. The high flying Seahawks will look to stay undefeated against a Texan team lucky to be 2-1. The Texans could quite easily be 0-3. Their two victories were in come from behind fashion. The Texans will have to get off to a good start in this one to have any chance to win.
Steve’s Pick: Texans 24 – Seahawks 20
Dan’s Pick: Texans 27 – Seahawks 24
Matt’s Picks: Texans 24 – Seahawks 21

NY Giants at Kansas City Chiefs (-4)

Matchup:Two teams going in very different directions. The KC Chiefs are off to the 3-0 behind new HC Andy Reid. The Giants haven’t fared as well. The GMen were crushed last week in Carolina, falling to the Panthers 38-0. Look for the Giants best effort this week. Whether it is enough to leave KC with win remains to be seen.
Steve’s Pick: Giants 24 – Chiefs 20
Dan’s Pick: Chiefs 30 – Giants 24
Matt’s Picks: Chiefs 24 – Giants 21

Arizona Cardinals at Tampa Bay Buccaneers (-3)

Matchup:Good seats still available. The Tampa Bay Bucs try to right the ship with a change at the QB spot. Rookie Mike Glennon (NC State) takes over the reigns from Josh Freeman. The Bucs are off to the 0-3 start and offense has been dormant. Freeman has been awful, and has no to blame but himself. The 1-2 Cardinals were routed last week in New Orleans, but will look get back into the win column against Tampa.
Steve’s Pick: Bucs 24 – Cardinals 17
Dan’s Pick: Bucs 18 – Cardinals 17
Matt’s Picks: Cardinals 21 – Bucs 17

Chicago Bears at Detroit Lions (-3)

Matchup:This might be the best game on the board Sunday. Chicago comes in undefeated, the last two wins coming against the winless Vikings and Steelers. The Lions are 2-1 to start the year, but the three teams they’ve played are 1-8. The jury is still out on both of these teams, look for that to clear up Sunday in Detroit.
Steve’s Pick: Bears 30 – Lions 20
Dan’s Pick: Lions 28 – Bears 24
Matt’s Picks: Bears 27 – Lions 21

Indianapolis Colts (-8.5) at Jacksonville Jaguars

Matchup:The 0-3 Jaguars are the worst team in the NFL, with very little talent. Even all-pro RB Maurice Jones-Drew has struggled only averaging 2.6 yards per carry. The Colts are off a huge upset win last week in San Francisco and have Seattle up next. This is a huge sandwich game for them, but Jags have been so lifeless it may not matter. Jacksonville is 3-1 against the Colts in the last four.
Steve’s Pick: Colts 23 – Jaguars 16
Dan’s Pick: Colts 33 – Jaguars 10
Matt’s Picks: Colts 31 – Jaguars 13

Sunday 4:05 PM

NY Jets @ Tennessee Titans (-4)

Matchup:I don’t think many thought these two teams would be 2-1 at this stage before the season started. Both the Titans and Jets were in the games they lost and both could easily be 3-0. Look for a low scoring affair in this one.
Steve’s Pick: Titans 20 – Jets 19
Dan’s Pick: Jets 24 – Titans 21
Matt’s Picks: Jets 17 – Titans 14

Sunday 4:25 PM

Washington Redskins (-3.5) @ Oakland Raiders

Matchup:The Washington Redskins will look for their first win this year in Oakland against the Raiders. The Raiders have been competitive in all games they’ve played that didn’t include the Broncos. Quarterback Terrelle Pryor availability looks to be a game time decision. The Redskins will try to avoid going 0-4 into their bye next week.
Steve’s Pick: Redskins 20 – Raiders 17
Dan’s Pick: Raiders 27 – Redskins 24
Matt’s Picks: Raiders 21 – Redskins 13

Dallas Cowboys (-2) at San Diego Chargers

Matchup:The Dallas Cowboys have been the only bright spot in the NFC East this season. The Cowboys travel to SD to battle a Charger teams that has endured two excruciating losses already this season. They controlled and led going into 4th quarter against Houston and Tennessee, but close out either team. This should be a good one in Southern California.
Steve’s Pick: Chargers 27 – Cowboys 24
Dan’s Pick: Cowboys 31 – Chargers 28
Matt’s Picks: Cowboys 24 – Chargers 20

Philadelphia Eagles at Denver Broncos (-10.5)

Matchup:The Denver Broncos look unbeatable and Peyton Manning is already in mid-season robot form. Peyton has thrown 12 TD’s in the first three games and has been unstoppable. The Eagles looked super in the first half in the win against the Redskins, but really haven’t done much since. The Eagles with three extra days rest, while Denver is on short week. This score of this game should be more reminiscent of a college basketball game than an NFL game. Enjoy the fireworks.
Steve’s Pick: Broncos 44 – Eagles 37
Dan’s Pick: Broncos 34 – Eagles 28
Matt’s Picks: Broncos 42 – Eagles 23

Sunday 8:30 PM

New England Patriots at Atlanta Falcons (-1.5)

Matchup:Two solid teams face each other in the Sunday night game. The Falcons are off tough loss against the Dolphins. Down three late in the 4th, the Dolphins drove down the field and scored to take the victory. The Falcons, who were one half away from a trip to the Super Bowl last year, find themselves at 1-2. The Patriots are quietly 3-0. They been less than impressive, but have found a way to win. They should face more of test here as they go against a Falcon team that has been near unbeatable in Atlanta.
Steve’s Pick: Falcons 30 – Patriots 24
Dan’s Pick: Falcons 37 – Patriots 27
Matt’s Picks: Patriots 34 – Falcons 31

Monday 8:40 PM

Miami Dolphins at New Orleans Saints (-6.5)

Matchup:Coach Sean Payton has returned to the sideline and Saints are off to quick 3-0 start. The Dolphins are surprising 3-0 as well going into this prime time game. This will be the Dolphins 3rd game on the road, and the Superdome crowd should be rowdy for this one.
Steve’s Pick: Saints 34 – Dolphins 23
Dan’s Pick: Saints 30 – Dolphins 20
Matt’s Picks: Saints 27 – Dolphins 24
