Wanna Make Your Own Film? Sign Up for Next Week’s Free Webcast on Low-Budget Filmmaking

Today, making a high quality film doesn’t always involve a big dollars budget. As the cost of professional-grade filmmaking tools goes down it’s becoming easier for independent artists to make films their own way. For aspiring filmmakers working on low (or no) budget, Adobe is hosting a panel with three successful low-budget filmmakers and livestreaming the discussion during the 2014 Sundance Film Festival next week.

Part of Adobe’s Ask a Video Pro series, next week’s panel will feature Kyle Alvarez (C.O.G.), Hasraf ‘HaZ’ Dulull (“Project Kronos”) and Jim Mickle (We Are What We Are) talking about what makes low-budget films work.

When asked to give advice to aspiring filmmakers today, Mickle answered:

“Just do it! Don’t wait for an opportunity to be handed to you. Take whatever tools you have and whatever talent you’re surrounded by and make your movie.”

“Engaging Story, Brilliant Visuals, Low Budget – The Changing Face of Independent Film” takes place Friday, January 17 at 5 p.m. Eastern Time. To register for a free live webcast of the panel click here.
