The Literary Meaning of Coffee [POSTER]

Many of us look to coffee as a source of fuel or creative inspiration. But whether we like our coffee pitch black or with enough sugar to make a spoon stand up straight, sometimes coffee in itself isn’t enough. Or, put another way, when it comes to sparking our creativity each of us has a unique beverage that could include an assortment of other ingredients besides caffeine.

Take literary icons like Bram Stroker, Lewis Carroll and sir William Shakespeare, for example, in the very clever and fun poster “Literary Coffee” by food illustrator Gianluca Biscalchin. While many of you will know some of these right off the bat like Hemingway‘s famous love for martinis that are as dry as a bone, you may have to look up a few of the other authors to fully appreciate the poster’s humor.
