Kim Dotcom Unveils New Streaming Music Service ‘Baboom’ and His First Album Ever

Mega CEO Kim Dotcom has just gave a sneak peak into his new streaming music service called Baboom, which features his first ever album. Dotcom describes the service as a cross between Spotify and iTunes, according to Arstechnica. Artists will be able to add their music, biography information, photo and video galleries along with having other social elements to curate and listen to random music.

Baboom and Good Times

As of now, Dotcom’s is the only artist profile available along with his new Good Times album, available for free download. Also as part of his promotional tactics, Dotcom is also offering up $5,000 to $10,000 bucks for the best remix or video made to his songs.

So are there good times ahead for Dotcom’s new music service? While the man still stands charges and remains on bail stemming from his copyright troubles with Megaupload, he does have some notable relationships with a few famous artists like P Diddy, Alicia Keys, Will.i.am, Snoop Dogg and Kanye West. He will need to tap into those stars and better differentiate his offering if he hopes to compete with more established services like Spotify or Rdio.

So will Kim Dotcom’s music “Change Your Life?”
