REPORT: 20% of Americans Are Blocked from Facebook at Work

Has your employer blocked you from using social media at work? While the debate as to the usefulness of sites like Facebook at work rages on, one in five Americans can’t access the site at work. Nearly 15% are cut out from Twitter, too, while on company time, with sites like YouTube, Pinterest, and LinkedIn being blocked at rates not much lower. Interestingly, employers also block personal email sites nearly 10% of the time, too!

The chart above shows data from a survey conducted by Statista and Mashable, polling 1,021 full-time and part-time employees in the U.S.
