Do you need a hot cup of coffee to properly wake up in the morning? Imagine if the painful noise of your alarm clock could be replaced by the soothing sounds and aroma of coffee brewing?
British designer Joshua Renouf has concocted a revolutionary new device called ‘the bariseur,’ which is one part alarm, one part coffee-maker. It’s intended to ease the user into the day with the fresh scent of java and the subtle movements of stainless steel ballbearins that boil the water through induction heating. All you need to do is prepare the device the night before with your choice of coffee beans, sugar and milk.
Renouf said about the nightly ritual process on his website:
It encourages a ritual before going to sleep, signalling to the body and mind that it is time to unwind and relax.
