Are you thinking about getting an MBA? What are the top ranked programs to attend in 2013?
In total, 16 U.S. programs made their way onto the Economist’s list, including Dartmouth (Tuck), California Berkeley (Haas), Virginia (Darden), Harvard, Columbia, MIT, Penn, Cornell and Carnegie Mellon (Tepper). What’s more, the top four spots are occupied by U.S. programs!
Leading all European schools is the Instituto de Estudios Superiores de la Empresa, or IESE, in Spain, which despite rough economic conditions in-country often places students in lucrative jobs abroad. The top Asian school is Hong Kong University, a new addition to the top 25 list due to improving salaries and positive student feedback.
Each year the Economist asks students why they decided to take an MBA. The rankings weigh data according to what they say is most important, which includes four basic categories: opening new career opportunities (35%), personal development/educational experience (35%), increasing salary (20%), and the potential to network (10%).
