This just in: articles are cool again. Recently Facebook made article thumbnails shared by Pages appear much larger in the News Feed than before. And starting today, Pinterest is also rolling out a new look for article pins! Now pinned articles will display more detailed information, including the article’s headline, author, description, and link, all within sight from the pin itself.
Not only is this great news for DashBurst, but also for the many folks who already use Pinterest to discover, share, and collect great articles. According to Pinterest more than 5 million articles are pinned each day!
The enhanced article pins being offered starting today are in line with a similar update Pinterest made back in May to show more useful information for recipe, movie, and product pins. So as you find interesting articles about things like art, science, music, travel, or anything else you can think of, it will be that much easier to organize them on Pinterest using the new rich snippets in article pins.
