We’ve all seen that dreaded app notification on our smartphones or worse computers, signalling it’s time to download the latest and greatest version. But we do it because we know our apps will be better off afterwards. Or at the very least, we’d like to get rid of that annoying notification box! App notifications, or updates, rear their ugly heads in many different forms: on your smartphone, desktop, Internet browser and even Facebook. You have to wonder if some people even realize that they can play games on Facebook without inviting all their friends each time? Or why Java and Adobe Reader need to be updated every day?
But just like us, our apps need to evolve over time. But what if we could download some awesome new features for our real lives?
