During today’s Photoshop World conference in Las Vegas, Adobe announced a new, affordable subscription service specially designed for photographers. Those who own Photoshop CS3 or higher will be able to subscribe to Adobe’s new Photoshop Photography Program for $9.99 per month. Adobe stresses that this is not an introductory offer: this is a permanent offer for those who subscribe by December 31 of this year. The offer requires an annual commitment with annual billing and will become available when Adobe introduces the new version of Lightroom 5.2 on September 17.
The Photoshop Photography Program includes access to the following:
- Photoshop CC
- Lightroom 5
- Behance ProSite
- 20 GB of cloud storage
This offer combines the benefits of a Creative Cloud single-app membership for Photoshop CC with Lightroom 5 for about half the monthly price of the current Photoshop CC membership. Those who are already Photoshop CC single-app members and own a Photoshop CS3 or later will be automatically transitioned to the lower-priced Photoshop Photography Program. Creative Cloud is a subscription-based service Adobe launched in June. The suite offers features unavailable in previous versions of Adobe Creative Suite, including syncing for application settings and support for editing from mobile devices like the iPhone and iPad, and brings all of Adobe’s editing applications online. Creative Cloud also offers the special ability to send continuous, as-needed updates to users’ Creative Suite apps, such as the recent updates to Muse and Edge Reflow. Subscribers to the Photoshop Photographer Program will also be able to take advantage of this updating capability.
Adobe plans to better meet photographers‘ editing needs through new technologies that better connect Photoshop CC and Lightroom. Adobe also plans to bring advanced Adobe digital imaging technology to mobile devices in the near future.

well I see a lot of modification being put in place with adobe products, it is nice to see how they get around perfecting some of the flaws around the old ones.
