YouTube Releases a Subscribe Button to Help Websites Build Video Audiences

youtube subscribe button

youtube subscribe buttonYou can now embed the YouTube subscribe button on your website to help build your YouTube audience directly from your web properties. This allows your fans to subscribe to your channel with a single click, without even leaving your site! Once a fan subscribes, they can see your channel on their YouTube homepage, phone, tablet, Playstation 3, smart TVs and millions of other devices. This should be welcome news to everyone from video creators to entertainment enthusiasts. Given the scale of YouTube, it’s actually quite surprising Google hasn’t released this feature sooner.

To use the subscribe button on your site, just add the code below where you’d like it to appear, just like when you embed a YouTube video.

<script src="https://apis.google.com/js/plusone.js"></script>
<div class="g-ytsubscribe" data-channel="Your Channel Name Here">
</div>

You can also customize the button and can learn more via the button documentation.

What does the YouTube Subscribe button look like in action?
