This Dog Smelled Cancer on His Owner Before Doctors Could Even Detect the Disease [VIDEO]

Sometimes, doctors can’t detect what nature can, as this dog owner learned from her loving pet. Dogs can detect disease through their sense of smell, as Maureen Burns learned when she connected the strange behavior of her Collie cross, Max, to her previously undiagnosed case of breast cancer.

Not only can dogs detect disease based on their profound observation of humans and human body language, they can actually detect the chemical changes of cancer. With training, dogs can pick out cancer patients from a selection of urine samples. But a dog’s ability to detect and monitor diseases goes beyond cancer, as they can detect low blood sugar for diabetes patients and the onset of severe allergic reactions, epileptic fits and narcolepsy.
