If you’re dying to make your Twitter profile look more like your profile on Facebook, you’re in luck: Twitter has rolled out its profile redesign to all users this week. So go for it – that eye-catching widescreen header image you’ve been wanting to upload is now fair game.

The new Twitter profile allows you to upload a high-res image that spans the entire width of the page to the top of your profile. It also increases the size of your profile picture, so make sure yours is up-to-date!

With the new Twitter profile you can also pin important tweets to the top, such as tweets about upcoming events. Plus, find your most engaging tweets at a glance simply by scanning for the largest tweets on the page – Twitter now makes posts larger when they receive more favorites, retweets and replies.

The redesign, along with Twitter’s recent update to allow users to attach multiple images to posts and tag users in photos, will make Twitter one of the most visual places on the internet. Presumably these changes are part of an effort to make Twitter a “stickier,” or more addictive, social network online.

Have you changed to the new Twitter profile yet?
